Why I Relay...

I am really excited about participating in this year's Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life at the University of Regina!

I Relay because I am one among the thousands of young adults who have faced a diagnosis of cancer in Canada. In 2008 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. During my first year of university I endured six months of chemotherapy until the cancer was in remission. Now I will be participating in the Relay for Life for my fourth time as a survivor! I know how important services such as the ones offered by the Canadian Cancer Society can be - I know what a difference they can make. And as a student in the faculty of Social Work I know the importance of advocacy.
